Tenbensel & Dee - chartered accountants Tenbensel & Dee - chartered accountants

The firm
We are a small to medium sized firm of chartered accountants in Hobart servicing mainly Tasmanian clients. We strive to deliver quality services with a personal touch. We care about our clients, about our staff and our work.

History
The firm was started by Robert Tenbensel on 1 July 1998 . At this date Robert left Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Hobart and set up his own practice with 2 employees. Since then the practice has grown considerably. On 1 July 2004 Trevor Dee became a partner in the firm. Operating from the same location we are now 11 employees (including 5 part timers) plus 2 partners.

In July 2004 the firm changed its name to recognise Trevor’s position in the practice and we became Tenbensel and Dee.

The Difference
We believe that what sets us apart from our competition is that we are genuinely interested in you. We strive to be ethical in our approach, informed about your industry and to build relationships built on trust.

Our Values
Tenbensel & Dee have developed a statement of values to guide our behaviour, and to provide guidance to our clients regarding the type of behaviour that they should expect from us.

Tenbensel & Dee will:

  1. maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics and integrity, both as individuals and as a firm;
  2. strive to add value;
  3. invest in positive relationships;
  4. work together in an atmosphere of trust;
  5. engage in honest and open communication;
  6. recognise that our clients and our staff are individuals, and respect that individuals have varying needs; and
  7. recognise limitations and deal with them positively.

Our Structure

Responsible for the client relationship, they are the key to ensuring you are happy with Tenbensel and Dee's service.  Should you have any concerns please call either Trevor or Robert to discuss it.  We even like to hear about it when you are especially happy with us!

Directors provide high-level advice on a range of topics.  We are committed to ensuring you can gain access to a director when you need one.

Managers/Supervisors
These people have responsibility for completion of your compliance work in the office.  They contribute to preparation of high-level advice and also give guidance to less experienced staff.

Analysts
Analysts, the engine room of the firm, work on the detail of tasks involved in your compliance work.

Administration
Our administration staff are the initial interface.  Among other things, they can help you make appointments, handle account queries and assist in corporate secretarial matters.
