• 1998 Robert withdrew from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu to form Tenbensel Accounting & Business Solutions Pty Ltd and Tenbensel Business Recovery Solutions. On 1 July 2004 this became Tenbensel & Dee
• 1995 he became a partner of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu when it merged with Hobart firm Cox Miller and Robinson.
• 1985 he became a partner in Cox Miller and Robinson.
• 1981 Robert joined Cox Miller & Robinson, a seven partner practice in Hobart .

Expertise
Robert Tenbensel has extensive professional experience, as an insolvency practitioner and business advisor in acquiring, managing, selling and closing businesses and their underlying entities. He has been involved in many successful trade-ons and reconstructions. He also provides advice to small to medium businesses on business and taxation matters.

Robert also provides advice in respect of complex estate planning and acts as trustee of the estates of some clients.

Trevor provides tax and business advice to individuals and small to medium businesses. He also has extensive experience in the accounting profession. He worked with Robert as a manager of tax and internal audit at Deloitte. Trevor is well placed to assist you in your tax and business matters.

Selena
Manager
Business Services

History
Selena joined Tenbensel & Dee in 2003.

Experience
Selena is responsible for the tax and accounting team. Apart from dealing with accounting and tax compliance, her responsibilities also include a broad range of work, including research projects.

Qualifications

• Selena completed her Bachelor of Commerce in 2009
• She has been admitted to the Dean’s Roll of Excellence for the Faculty of Commerce and the Golden Key International Honour Society
• Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors

Mary
Business Analyst

• 1996 Mary joined Deloitte. She accompanied Robert when he set up his own practice in 1998.

Experience
Mary has worked in this area for over thirteen years. She has a strong understanding of accounting,  income tax and GST requirements.

Jenny joined Tenbensel & Dee in September 2008.

Experience
Jenny worked in China as an English teacher for nine years and has one year bookkeeping experience in a private business.

Elaine
Business Analyst

History

Elaine joined Tenbensel & Dee in September 2009.

Experience

Elaine has over 20 years experience in the preparation of income tax returns for individuals and small businesses. She is looking forward to broadening her knowledge and experience here at Tenbensel & Dee.

Izaak
Business Analyst

Izaak joined Tenbensel & Dee in November 2009.

Experience

Izaak has spent the past two years working in public practice gaining broad experience in the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns.

Izaak is studying part-time towards a Bachelor of Business Degree

Kristin
Insolvency

History
Kristin has worked with Robert Tenbensel since 1996. Prior to this she worked for the Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia.

Experience
Kristin has been involved in the administration of bankrupt estates for over twenty years and has over ten years’ experience in other insolvency administrations. She has also performed due diligence work and solvency reviews.

Fiona

Experience
Fiona has seven years experience in a vast cross-section of administration and general accounting duties.  Her role at Tenbensel and Dee includes insolvency administration and taxation.

Maryanne
Practice Manager

History
Maryanne joined Tenbensel & Dee in 2002 part-time and performs some tax and consulting work from time to time in addition to being our practice manager. Maryanne’s expertise includes nine years of senior level financial experience in Australia , United Kingdom and Malaysia . She also worked at Cox Miller & Robinson with Trevor and Robert.

Maryanne has extensive experience including public practice, manufacturing, head office of an international group and regional centre management.

Debbie
Admin Manager

History

Debbie joined Tenbensel and Dee in 2005.

Experience
Debbie has over 30  years experience in office administration, company secretarial, registered office and registration board experience.

Rachael
Partner Support Officer

Rachael joined Tenbensel & Dee in 2005. 

Experience
Rachael completed her traineeship with us in 2006.  She provides administrative support to both partners and bookkeeping for the tax group.
